Only 4 days to go until The Wool Monty 2024!
This is such an exciting but also overwhelming time for me, but so happy to be trading at my first show this weekend!
If you've never heard of The Wool Monty before, it's ran by Debbie, Mand & Rosie who also own and run and amazing family business called Woolfull - a beautiful yarn shop in the Peak District.
After attending yarn shows for several years, The Wool Monty was born out of a lack of accessibility and poor facilities.
Their mantra is Accessible, Inclusive, Welcoming and here are just some of their commitments grabbed from their website;
-Supporting and encouraging vendors and workshop tutors from marginalised groups.
-Making sure that BIPOC and LGBTQ+ members of our community in particular feel welcome and safe, by making it clear that no discrimination, however covert, will be tolerated.

It is a real honour to be attending my first show alongside some very talented and skilled vendors. I'm very much looking forward to chatting my weekend away with like-minded crafty people, might even sell a few things too! :P
